Breastmilk: The best for your baby<\/p>\n

During the first few months of life, breastmilk is best because it contains everything your baby needs for healthy development, including long chain polyunsaturated fatty acids (LCPs) and oligosaccharides. These oligosaccharides promote the build up of healthy gut flora, and in this way breastmilk supports your baby from the inside out.<\/p>\n

Preparation and Usage<\/strong>\u00a0of Hipp Formula First Infant Milk<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Preparing the feed<\/p>\n

Please follow preparation and feeding instructions carefully; failure to do so may make your baby ill, as powdered milks are not sterile.<\/p>\n

1 Wash hands and sterilise all equipment according to the manufacturers\u2019 instructions.<\/p>\n

2 Boil 1 litre of freshly run water and leave to cool for no longer than 30 minutes. Do not use artificially softened or repeatedly boiled water.<\/p>\n

3 Measure the required amount of water into a sterilised bottle (referring to the Feeding Guide).<\/p>\n

4 Using the scoop provided add the correct number of scoops of powder \u2013 1 level scoop of powder to each fluid ounce of water (approx 30ml). Level off the powder using the scoop leveller. Do not press the powder.<\/p>\n

5 Place the sterilised teat and cap on the bottle and shake well until all the powder has dissolved (approx 15 seconds).<\/p>\n

6 Cool to drinking temperature (approx 37\u00b0C) by holding the bottle under cold running water. Always test the temperature of the milk before feeding.<\/p>\n

Important Feeding Information<\/p>\n

The protein content of our first infant milk has changed, based on the latest nutritional research. The amount and frequency your baby feeds may change as a result: please feed them as much and as often as they need.<\/p>\n

Only use the scoop provided in the pack<\/p>\n

Do not make feeds weaker or stronger than indicated by adding extra water\/scoops, and do not add anything else to milk feeds<\/p>\n

For hygiene reasons, always freshly prepare feeds and do not prepare in advance. Use made up feeds within 2 hours of preparation. Discard anything leftover at the end of the feed<\/p>\n

Please note that you may notice some changes in your baby\u2019s stool consistency after switching to Hipp Organic Combiotic\u00ae: this is typical for products containing prebiotic oligosaccharides, which may make baby\u2019s stools more similar to those of breastfed babies<\/p>\n

Do not heat feeds in a microwave, hot spots may occur which could cause scalding<\/p>\n

A responsible person should be with your baby during feeding<\/p>\n

Please clean your baby\u2019s teeth regularly when they appear<\/p>\n

Introduce a cup or beaker as soon as possible to prevent prolonged\/frequent contact of teeth with milk feeds which may increase the risk of tooth decay<\/p>\n
